My name is Taylor Tuntland, and I'm a screenwriter, photographer, film scholar and researcher, editor, and general filmmaker and film talker-abouter currently based in Las Vegas, NV. Born and somewhat raised; I've also spent a lot of time in Salt Lake City, UT where you can also find me.
I received my BA in Film from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2023, but more importantly I received nothing from the Truckee Meadows Community College in 2021.
My scholarship predominantly focuses on South Asian cinema—special attention to Hindi and Tamil-language film—as well as LGBT+ representation and identity in film and television, star studies, and negotiating and constructing gender, ethnicity, and corporeality on screen.
At the moment, I am mostly screenwriting 30 and 60-minute television pilots and <15-page shorts.
I edit on Adobe Premiere Pro but got my start on Sony Vegas back in the late 2000s. I am genre and form-agnostic; I just like editing! Screenwriting on Final Draft 12 after paying a decent sum, and writing-writing on Google Docs, Samsung Notes, cocktail napkins, and my right arm.
